So ya'll know we're moving to Utah this summer. And ya'll might or might not know--we've already bought a house! Aaahh, I know. But we are so excited to be in our new home. Our house has a fabulous kitchen (actually it has two full kitchens). But the main kitchen is big and amazing. It has a great, long island in the middle with bar stools on one side. Two of the bar stools actually have broken backs.
We will be fixing those soon after moving in. I'm really happy that I was recently contacted by CSN Stores and asked if I wanted to do a giveaway for something from one of their sites. CSN Stores is one of the top 3 online US retailers of home and office goods. They sell furniture, home decor, toys, pet supplies, and even more, but one of my favorites is the cookware!
I don't know if you know how much we love smoothies here at our house, but we do. Our number one ingredient of choice for smoothies is bananas. If you have bananas and a little milk, maybe some yogurt, and any other fruit, you can make a delicious smoothie. One of our favorites is banana, plain yogurt, some peanut butter and some chocolate protein powder--YUM! Sam loves it so much that sometimes he'll out of the blue walk in to the kitchen and head for the cupboard where the blender is and say "Nanny drink." Oh the smoothies we could make if we had a better blender! I had a pretty nice one, but the glass pitcher fell from about 4 inches off the floor and it shattered a few years back. So just to be frugal, I bought a really cheap one. It tries hard, but really, I can't believe we're still using it after more than five years. If you blend with it too long (and by too long, I mean not very long) it starts to have that burned motor smell.
Well, out of the kindness of my heart ;) and the extreme generosity of CSN Stores I would love to give one lucky reader a chance to win a great new blender! You must try that banana smoothie (oh and the best way is to use frozen bananas, I love taking bananas and cutting them in to chunks and freezing them in zipper lock bags)!

I love reading your blog. I love baking too, but don't do the experimenting that you do. I shall subscribe to this one as well. Thanks for the giveaway!
I want a 10 inch Shun chef's knife.
Particularly this one...
http://www.cookware.com/Shun-DM0507-SUH1124.html
I don't ask for much.
One thing I want??? They sure have a ton of stuff! I only had time to go through a few categories, but will go through more later for sure. I love how whimsical the Kathy Ireland collections are, especially the Monkey Mischief and the Peacock ones.
Can I say everything? :) I'd love a kitchen torch (but don't think I'd use it enough to justify buying it). Thinking bigger, it would be wonderful to give my father a wine fridge so that he can store the wine he makes in his basement.
I love your other blog so I'm sure this one will be great! That blender really does sound magnificent! I don't have smoothies nearly as much as I want to or should.
congrats on your new home!
Oh Katrina, we'll miss you in Lawrence!
One thing that I hope someone buys off our wedding registry (wedding's a month from today) is the Cuisinart Food Processor. I want a heavy duty one! :-)
Hi Katrina, You know I will follow you anywhere. Your kitchen is beautiful, I am sure you can't wait to break it in cooking.
I've always wanted an ice cream maker!!
I love bananas in my smoothies too.
The Zwilling cutlery set is awesome, since all our knives are serrated (I mean ALL of them).
The kitchen is fabulous and so perfect for the cooking/baking you have in store for it! Great new blog, btw.
Love you, and can't wait for July!
In my dream world - a viking 7 quart mixer. That would be luxury. Think of how many batches of cookies I could mix at once!
a cuisinart food processor thanks for the giveaway minsthins at optonline dot net
I would love to have a food processor. That smoothie with bananas and peanut butter sounds good, but I have never heard of freezing a banana....now I am going to have to try that:)
I'd love the Le Creuset 10.25" Square Skillet Grill in Cherry. Thanks for the giveaway! utgal2004[at]yahoo[dot]com
Giveaways aren't applicable to international residents :(
Two kitchens?! I'm a little jealous. So many new kitchen toys I'd like to have...new kitchenaid stand mixer and a large cast iron skillet make the top of the list.
Would you post the smoothie ingredient amounts, please?
I want Paula Deen cookware, but I need a slow cooker more.
My husband has a weird texture aversion to balsa wood, so I need a new set of spatulas and spoons that are all silicone! :)
We had a flood her in NJ, and my cake pans were ruined. I would love this for the holiday:

I'd love the Taylor Digital Infrared Thermometer with Laser. Awesome!
I have been wanting a large Le Creuset dutch oven for years now! The Caribbean color is nice and vibrant :)
I would love to have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, they seem so useful, and they're so pretty!
I like the Hamilton Beach Stay or Go 6 Quart Slow Cooker in Stainless Steel. My crock pot died and I need a new one.
Oh, man! There are just so many possibilities of the things I desire. But I would love a Panini maker. I think it would be such fun.
The one thing I want is a blender. When I bought my KitchenAid, I got rid of the old stand up mixer which was a combo blender. Got rid of everything. Blender was lousy anyway. I love smoothies and would love a new blender!
Oh to have everything would be my greatest wish. I really NEED a blender, but what I really WANT is the Paderno French Cuisine Rolling pin. I've been wanting one for YEARS! No handles sounds heavenly!
Oh how fun, I actually really want a microplane zester - can you believe I don't have one? :)
I have always wanted a Le Crueset square baking dish.
kerrie@mayansfamily.com
I love all the gadgets...ice cream scoops and whisks and wooden spoons, oh my! Thanks for hosting a giveaway!
I would love to have the Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel 6 quart deep saute pan, I love the long handle and the size of the pan is just what I need most of the time, I dont own it yet but I secretly covet this pan every time I see one if I am out shopping, one of these days I am gonna break down and buy it. Thanks for hosting this great contest
Where do I start? I have had my eye on some Le Creuset dishes, a stand mixer, a new large nonstick pan, knives and so much more. I am sad you are moving but happy that things are going so smoothly for your family.
Thank you for this give-away! I want Nordicware's square and round cooling racks. A simple and inexpensive desire, but I always run out of room on the two old racks I have. I NEVER think about buying them when I'm out. Good luck on your move. I hear there are not as many tornadoes in Utah...
I would love to have a 7.5 qt Le Creuset dutch oven. I just can't bring myself to spend that much money
So many things to shop for and so little money to shop with. lol I would love to have the Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel 10-Piece Cookware Set in Yellow. It would replace my old beat-up pots and pans. Thanks for the giveaway.
I really want the Corningware French White 12 Piece Gift Set, thanks for the giveaway!
mattandjen[at]gmail.com
I like the Deni automatic ice crusher.
We love smoothies too! We used to make them a lot. I actually have a blender we got for our wedding over 5 years ago that makes the burnt out smell also. We also lost the plastic lid that covers the plastic canister. A saucer works alright. But when we were making smoothies a lot, we decided to get one of those smoothie makers because our blender didn't blend well... Not all blenders are created equal. :) We don't use smoothie maker because it doesn't work. Anyway. If you are moving to Alpine, I have a friend there name Joann Douglass who also loves and is great at baking. I'm sure you guys could be great friends! Maybe you'll be in the same ward!
Anyway, enough of my blabbering... Another thing we have never had our whole marriage is a hand mixer. It's always been on my list to get but with the experience I had with my crappy blender, I want to get a good one. My favorite pie is a lemon meringue pie, but I've never made one because I don't have a hand mixer. Sad story, I know. There's a lot of things I've done without for a while... we just got whisks and kitchen shears for the first time in our marriage on March 13th. We should talk soon. I feel like I haven't talked to you in a while.
A KitchenAid stand mixer
I would love to have the KitchenAid Artisan Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in Green.

Hi Katrina - great new blog! I couldn't live without my crockpot! I think it is a mom's best friend...
I like this pyrex set: http://www.cookware.com/Pyrex-1058994-REX1001.html
I just have some cobbled together stuff from garage sales right now...
urchiken at gmail dot com
Um, I can't even tell you how sad my old, tired blender is, and what horrible noises it makes anytime I ask it to blend anything. ANYTHING. I would do seriously bad things for a new blender. :)
As far what other kitchen gadgets I'd like, I'm dying for some mini bundt pans, because we keep making bundt cakes for TWD and I'd love to halve the recipes and make just a few mini cakes, to minimize the, uh, damage. :)
Wow what an awesome giveaway!! We love smoothies too!
I've been drooling over this set for years!
Watching Julie & Julia only made me want them more!
http://www.cookware.com/Le-Creuset-M05196-17-LEC1676.html

thegrants(at)live(dot)com

julstew at gmail dot com
I would love to try out one of the Le Crueset products. I have heard that they are fantastic. Maybe a big soup pot.
Love my Santoku knife, could use possibly 2 more, I think I may have just drooled over the pictures.
We love smoothies too, especially with frozen bananas.
Just coming out of the holiday, I'd say the one item I need to replace soon is my roasting pan. I'd love one of those big ones with the rack, so the turkey skin doesn't get stuck tot he pan.
I would absolutely LOVE to have the Cuisinart 15-Bar Espresso Maker in Stainless Steel!
arctic_teacher AT yahoo DOT ca
The Kitchen-Aid, the Kitchen-Aid, I'd even take it in that green color!
What a great giveaway!
After this week's TWD, I am wanting more bundt pans. The fairytale cottage one is ADORABLE!
Nice giveaway you have here. the other thing I love having which I don't right now is a pressure cooker. Beats boiling my chicken soup for hours to get it tasting "just so"!
Le Creuset 5-Quart Oval French Oven Gift Set in Caribbean blue. I have convinced myself that I cannot live without this. Now, on to convince the fiance ;)
Kitchenaid Hand Mixer - need to get one for each daughter as they set up their kitchens!
We had an "accident" with our other blender and it wasn't a very good one to begin with, so I am in need of that. Also, another thing that I would love to try is a double boiler. Someday!!!
I would SO love to have the Breville Gourmet Single Cup Brewer!
digicat{AT}sbcglobal{DOT}net
A KitchenAid Stand Mixer would be a beautiful thing!
What do you mean you have two kitchens??? Mine's not big enough, can I just have your small one? :)
After seeing those chocolate glazed mini marbled bundt cakes on your other post, can I come live with you? I can stay in the spare kitchen! :)
The one thing I really would like from cookware.com is the All Clad Stock Pot ...or anything All-Clad. I love that line of cookware!
I would love love love a Cameron smoker!!! To make ribs like they do in the restaurants!!
teachguy (at) hotmail (dot) com
In the market for a rice cooker!
Love Baking & the Boys! Thanks for blogging!
If I had my pick of things, I would get the All-Clad 6.5 Quart Slow Cooker. My boyfriend keeps trying to throw out the ancient slow cooker I have that I inherited from someone else who wasn't using it. The thing runs hot every time and doesn't really have a low setting; so it actually cooks quickly for a slow cooker, but if I had the All-Clad.. ooh, I just got chills. :D
pick me! pick me! :) hehehe
I would love a regular sized food processor, right now I have a mini
Love your blog - Love trying out all the yummy recipes. I do not have but would love a le creuset dutch oven. My mother has one and I love how heavy it is and how the food comes out. It also looks beautiful as well.
I would love an ice-cream machine!
I would love the Presto 16" Electric Skillet w/ glass cover
jodzjodz(at)hotmail(dot)com
I love my All-Clad LTD set. I cook with any if those pans every single day and I've had them for 10 years.
Chroma Kasumi Titanium 3" Paring Knife in Blue - KTB5
SKU #: CCS1069
i would LOVE a new kitchen aid mixer
congrats on your new home!
Thanks for post.
